Maturity

Maturity brings to a lot of people higher social status, stability and wisdom, but to get this we usually give up the best time in our life for studying and hard work. We also loose a lot of our energy and phisical resources, but majority of mature population are still in a good shape and usually their material welfare is stable.

Isn't it a right time to start thinking about the sense of life and try to evaluate what did you achieve and do you really need it? A lot of people in this period are not just happy with their achievements; they are actively looking for something; more often in philosophical and religious sphere.

During this search is very useful to be connected with other people of same interests and problems as well as to share your experience with others and especially with younger generations.

Though time pressure can be extremely high, which is natural, some times it's important to stop for a while and to ask yourself how would you change your life if you have one more possibility to live it. What can be left after me except for material heritage and short memories of relatives and colleagues? Did I live for myself or for the others? That's not the easy questions and the answers are probably neither simple.

What is one of the possible ways, which seems reasonable to us, is to make your achievements from qualitative to quantitative, start to consume responsively and try to consume more spiritual things than material. Though it is easy to say it is not easy to do and probably this is not your way, but in any case even starting to think about sense and consequences could substantially benefit both you and society.

Mortology is very dependent on receiving experience and ideas from people like you, and we would like to systemize them and share with people who only start their lives. The only way to change society values is to change values of each individual members and this process can be facilitated.

From other side Mortology can give you support in your spiritual and philosophical search as well as show you alternative opinions on issues of your interests.
