Student/youth years are probably the most controversial years in human life. From the one hand young people have huge energy, ambitions and desires, but lack resources and experience. It's probably a perfect time to own a sportive convertible, have enough money for travel and leisure. Dreams of young people can be different, but majority of them have one common - not enough resources to make dreams reality. That is one of the first big and consciousness step of a lot of people to be dependent from material world of non-material dreams.
On the other hand high education system as well as majority of early jobs assignments creates a different world, world of struggle for more and more dollars which often associated with higher career level. These all hide the real sense of life, which is different for every person, but what can be said for sure is that probably people should not forget why they came to this world; they should not stop thinking about transience of this life and inevitability of death.
It's undisputable that nobody can take parts of material world to afterdeath journey, but it questionable does it pays off if you consume here furiously and irresponsibly. Yes, you have satisfaction from life, but do you really need this? Or this is the system which makes you consume, because it is tradition, because everybody consume and because older people has all this material welfare so this is tradition of society and you have to follow it?
We think that this system leaves no chances to young people to live a conscious life and it is probably impossible to change it - this is eternal pace of society. Utopian ideas also don't work. Though we have some real life examples, like United Arab Emirates where all citizens receive a free minimum level of wellness from the state. It's difficult to evaluate effectiveness of this system, but what we can see is just that some utopian ideas are not so difficult to achieve. Default access to material welfare can substantially change the system of values in society. We are going to study this phenomena and its impact, but
we also think that we can approach the problem from different side.
We are going to develop a Mortology course for students/youth which will include historical and philosophical reference to the study of human life and death, we would like to make people think and give as wide interpretation of subject as possible.
