It can sound surprisingly, but one of the most important target audiences for Mortology is teenagers. Though not all of us understand this, but a lot of attitudes and social habits mostly acquired during our school years. It's an ambiguous goal, but we would like basics of Mortology to be taught in elementary or secondary schools.
Importance to understand the value of human life and inescapability of death is very important in formation of social being; more to this taboo of death should be revealed and it should be changed from understanding of death as something scare and mystique to understanding of it as a natural process, which nevertheless should be treated with all due respect. For these reasons studying of death traditions and believes in different cultures can be beneficial.
The importance of introducing teens to Mortology is also connected with the fact that a lot of people in this age face death of grandparents or grandaunts/uncles. For some of them this experience is extremely tragic and frustrating. Can Mortology help them? Probably yes, at least by changing the perception of death. But that's not the main goal. We do hope that Mortology can increase the price of uniqueness of every human life, change the importance of material world and increase stimuli for spiritual self development.
